PEAK’s Porsche CGT fitted with new wheels

Saturday, July 10th, 2010

These are a temporary solution, but I’d have to say they are mighty nice! I’ve always loved the look of the OE CGT wheels, and they’re even more stunning in black!

SP ENGINEERING BUILDS FASTEST GTR’S IN THE WORLD

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

dsc_0011

The day started off at 7:30am with the opening of the gates to Arizona’s Speedworld Dragstrip. We were greeted by the owner, Bernie, who allowed us to privately rent the track for the day. We were accompanied by the Greddy crew, and our good customer Hing who is also the owner of the black GTR. The day emitted a warm 72 degrees, with a track temp of 120 degrees.

Both GTR’s began their runs without launch control to see what times they could pull up. SPE’s GTR managed to pull in a 10.77@145mph time, while Hing ran a 10.76@135mph time. In neglecting to utilize the launch control in the first few runs, we were given a good understanding of the current suspension setup. As the morning progressed we were able to tweak our settings to perfectly balance both cars for optimum performance. After finalizing the calibrations we were able to run 9 second consistent passes throughout the day.

Hing started his runs with 20″ Volk Racing G2 wheels with Nitto drag radials which culminated a best pass of 9.96 seconds, and then substituted them for 18″ Volk Racing TE37’s wrapped in the Mickey Thompson drag radials. That setup allowed Hing to conquer a 9.84 second quarter mile pass.

2009 GTR from Hawaii goes under the knife

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

We were recently delivered a nicely equipped White 2009 Nissan R35 looking to beef up the powerplant using the SPE900 kit. Within a week, we got this bad boy up and running pushing out 754awhp and 718lbs torque on C16 race fuel on our Mustang Dynojet. Greddy’s Type29 SpecR XL intercooler, DCT transmission cooler, Swift sway bars front and rear, and Swift springs were also installed. Ryan’s GTR is also sporting Titek’s newly revised titanium Street exhaust paired with a Titek titanium RACE midpipe. Now the car sits with a perfect stance on the OEM 20’s, and is ready to hit the tropical streets of the Aloha state.

Allan’s Lamborghini Gallardo

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

Allan has been one of our closest friends/clients for as long as the “Bossman” can remember. We’ve seen his Gallardo transform through many different phases. This “final” phase has definitely become a heavy hitter.

The newly added RSC front bumper and carbon sides create such a race inspired appearance, especially paired with the CarbonTEK SL carbon wing. This Gallardo definitely LOOKS like it means business; but while other owners merely appear aggressive, Allan has the powerhouse to back it up! This spunky little sports beast is powered by Jason Heffner’s very own custom made twin turbo setup. CarbonTEK carbon dress up pieces also add a little more flair under the carbon bonnet. We also installed a CarbonTEK gauge pod along with a DEFI boost gauge inside the cabin, so Allan can monitor how much he is boosting every time he wants to get on the throttle.

To support all the power, and ensure his safety at the same time, Allan upgraded his rotors as well as his wheels and tires. A set of HRE Monoblok P41’s in matte black were the wheels of selection, and definitely look 10x better than his old set of kicks. The new P41’s are wrapped in the super sticky, made for race Toyo Proxes R888. When heated to the proper temperature, these tires can get insanely tacky, and will literally hug the pavement no matter what conditions they are put under.

Needless to say, Allan’s newly revamped Gallardo has been an extreme pleasure to work on, and is among one of our favorite Gallardo’s on the road today!

Just in! Greddy DCT Transmission Cooler!

Friday, May 14th, 2010

We just received our shipment of Greddy DCT Coolers, and have installed the very first one on our SPE900 project car.

The parts look absolutely amazing, and the attention to detail is second to none. The satin black hoses resemble those of Earls, and feature the Greddy logo on each end. The cooler itself looks like it was designed with precision, and painted an awesome blue that looks closely related to Cobalt blue. A water reservoir, FRP intake duct, and misc hardware round off the kit.

Full house @ SP!!

Friday, May 7th, 2010

It has come to our attention that we always develop a full house at the end of the week. Next week we will be housing two Gallardo’s, twin LP640’s, a McLaren SLR, a Diablo, and an R32 Skyline GTR among other exotics.

Peak Completions Porsche Carrera GT

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

AWE Tuning exhaust installed? Check. Carbon steering wheel installed? Check. Drop the ride height 25mm? Check.

I’d take a few sound clips of the CGT, but it would probably be pointless considering this exhaust system rattles our entire service department. As if the CGT didn’t already sound like a monster, the AWE exhaust system will make you wet your pants in an instant. And with the lower stance, this amazing piece of machinery looks even more aggressive.

I love this car!!!

Looks like we’re just about finished with this beauty. A new set of wheels are already on their way directly to the owner’s residence, and will take the place of the current 20’s.
