Phase2Motortrend is headquartered in Walnut, CA. These guys are anything but newbies when it comes to Nissans. Phase2, also known as P2Motortrend, is a high-end distributor that supplies countless parts for the Nissan 240, Z, G, and even R35.

As one of the Nissan guru’s it was only fitting for Phase2 to be one of the first in line to snag the much anticipated R35 GTR. This lovely lady was purchased from the West Covina Nissan dealership back in July of 2008, and has been worked on religiously ever since then.

Fast forward to a year later, and this GTR is still spinning heads. The gunmetal metallic paint has been one of the sweetest colors to come out of the Nissan line, and it’s a good thing that Phase2 went with it. The 20″ gunmetal BBS LM Limited Edition wheels pair perfectly with the factory gunmetal paint. I’m hardly a big fan of matching the rim color with the body color, but after seeing this setup I wouldn’t have it any other way. Now, these are not to be confused with the BBS LM-R’s designed specifically for the GTR. Phase2 purchased a set of Swift springs to drop the GTR just enough to give it a perfect balance and appearance.

You’d think that with a set of BBS LM’s the GTR would be set right? Not when you have a reputation to uphold. Phase2 scooped up every Titek carbon piece available for the potential facelift. Carbon fiber graces the body lines from front to back, and presents a much more aggressive, yet illustrious appearance.

The HKS GT570 kit seems to be the trend when looking for optimal horsepower gains without getting ahead of yourself, and emptying your pockets on beefy upgrades. Titek titanium plumbing allows minimal restriction of exhaust flow to exit the car, and not only increases horsepower, but also reduces a significant amount of weight.

After all the engine upgrades were installed, we threw the GTR on our 4WD dyno to see how much this pretty little lady could put out for us. After several runs we recorded 549rwhp, 576 ft lbs torque @ 1.2 bar 17.5psi of boost, which is a significant improvement. Knowing the guys at Phase2 this is hardly the end of it all. Expect to see more from them as they continue to try to pull out as many ponies from the monster VQ as possible.
